
Elena Milan—known as @MsElenaMilan—lives in Brooklyn, New York, and works at the intersection of creativity, community, and culture.

She studied communications and film, and spent her early years working in retail—developing an eye for customer experience and storytelling from the ground up. To lean further into the marketing world, she began managing pop-up retail spaces in NYC for female-led and mission-driven brands, learning how to build immersive brand moments for companies like Thinx, ThirdLove, and St. Ives.
​
Her interest in product marketing led her to Flamingo and Harry’s, where she started in customer experience and grew into a role focused on community, influencer relations, and social media management—deepening her understanding of brand voice and digital strategy from multiple angles.
​
After several years in-house, Elena moved into freelance work, offering social and influencer strategy to brands across food and beverage, hospitality, beauty, and wellness. This work naturally evolved into her current role at PURPLE, where she started off as a social media manager with clients including Mickalene Thomas, Atelier Jolie, L'Avenue at Saks, and Grand Wailea Maui.

Today, Elena remains full-time at PURPLE as the Senior Manager of Lifestyle Partnerships and Activations. Her work includes planning and executing thoughtful brand partnerships, creating and maintaining influencer relationships, and building events and activations on a project or full-time client basis. Past and current clients include The Standard, High Line, Gotham Dispensary, Romer Hell’s Kitchen, Feeld, Desert 5 Spot, and more.

At the heart of it all, Elena is driven by storytelling, social impact, and cultivating spaces—both online and off—where people feel seen, connected, and inspired.
